The Antwerp Advantage
Every year, we travel nearly 10,000 miles to hand select diamonds in Antwerp for our customers. With our connections overseas, we are able to cut out the middleman and save money in the process. With this elite service, we extend these savings to our customers, and are able to get the best selection of diamonds in the world. Antwerp, Belgium is where 60-80% of the world's diamonds are cut and traded, and is known as the "Diamond Capital of the World." We proudly comply to the Kimberley Process, which prevents conflict diamonds from entering the diamond trade, and by doing so, we are able to import conflict-free diamonds into the United States. While in Antwerp I visit multiple cutters for the diamonds I seek. At each cutter I will ask for a particular diamond, (size, shape, clarity, and color), and they will bring me a parcel of up to 50 diamonds with these specs. There will always be two that are the obviously the prettiest diamonds of the group. The cutter will then hold them for a day or two as a courtesy. I will then go to the others and select the prettiest of the lot that they have to offer.
This gives me the opportunity to find the most beautiful diamond for the best money. The selection is what makes this such a great opportunity.
We are committed to selling diamonds ethically and with integrity, giving you confidence in the diamonds you purchase. We believe it is completely unacceptable to tolerate conflict diamonds and/or human suffering in any way and we fully support the Kimberley process. Fernbaugh's offers this commitment to you.
All rough and polished diamonds sold by Fernbaugh's comply with the Kimberley Process. The Kimberley Process ensures that rough diamonds are:
